Apex: Our annual ski vacation

There is so much to do at the condo in the snow as our family calls it. Skiing, ice skating, sledding, walking through the village, hot tubing, eating at the infamous gun barrel, relaxing by the fire, and just plain being lazy with the family.

 

This year we were looking forward to Colton skiing for the second time, Josh and I skiing together for the first time in four years, spending quality time with nanmom and poppa, and spending time together just the four of us as a family.

 

Our plans were slightly disrupted as Josh and I spent all but two of the days we were there in bed with the stomach flu (which was then passed along to nanmom & poppa..so sorry). Although sad we didn't have all of the days to get to do our favorite "Apex" things, we did have two really great days in the snow. Colton was able to ski a 1/2 day with Josh (and he did so well), and Josh and I were able to ski a 1/2 day with one another thanks to nanmom and poppa watching the kiddos. Hoping next year we have better luck with our health so that we have the whole vacation to enjoy one of our favorite little getaways. Until next year...... here are a few pics I was able to get on the day we were feeling a little better.

Ella clearly was not loving that I was taking her picture.... or she was glaring because it was 4 degrees outside (litterally), and is wondering why we have her out in the freezing cold.

We started Colton out the first day on a little hill right outside the condo, to get him comfortable again on the ski's.

Nanmom and Poppa were able to watch from the warmth of the condo.
