Colton's Catch

As many of you do not know ( I didn't either until a fellow mom of a three year old boy informed me) this past week was national boating and fishing week. I would not expect you to know this unless you are a mom of a three year old boy, or unless you are an avid fisherman or woman (miss Shannan!). Many of the hatcheries around our area put on special events for the kids and so we decided to head up to one in Entiat this past Saturday.

We expected Colton to be catching little 1lbs. trout, but to our surprise the trout that were stocked in the fishing pond were 4, 5, & 6 lbs! Our gear (a spiderman fishing pole) was not going to do the job. Luckily they had larger poles there for us to use.

Colton had such a blast fishing, catching 4 fish in all (the limit)! And so did his daddy (the jury is still out on who had more fun). Ella on the other hand was not to sure about the whole situation, so we spent the majority of our time just walking around checking out the sites.
