My weekend Project

I have had these rocking chairs for three years this September. I inherited (well asked for) them when my mom's dad poppa Sam past away. I didn't really think that we would be able to get them all the way from Kentucky to Wenatchee. I mean to ship them would cost way more then they are even worth. Luckily my mom's step sister in Kentucky works for a trucking company and said she would put them on a truck when one was heading to Washington. I thought that it was a nice gesture, but I didn't really think I would see them again once we left.

To my surprise several months later they showed up. They have been sitting on our back deck for the past three years waiting for a little love and attention. This past weekend I decided that it was time to give them the love that they deserved. With a fresh coat of barn red paint, and some new throw pillows I think they look fantastic. I am so excited to have a little piece of my poppa Sam with me now forever.
