apricots

I love summer here in Wenatchee. Apart from the beautiful warm weather, I love all of the fresh fruit that seems to abound everywhere. Our friend has a big beautiful apricot tree and cannot begin to use up all of the fruit before it goes bad, so me and the kiddos went and picked two huge boxes. I plan on making several crisps, save some out for eating fresh, and then am going to can some jam with some girlfriends this next week.
The kiddos also got to enjoy tree swings, antique peddle cars, a secret door in the trunk of a tree, and a little play house. They had the time of their life!
