We decided on Lake Chelan. Only a 40 minute drive from our house. Close enough to head home if something happened with the kiddos, but far enough away that it felt like we were on a real vacation.
The weekend was wonderful. Couldn't have asked for anything better. Nice dinners out with adult conversation, live music, wine tasting (it was spring barrel tasting at the wineries in Chelan), laying by the pool, swimming, sleeping in, coffee and the paper, a movie, walks around town and the lake, shopping in the darling boutiques, and of course the best part.... quality time with the man that I love!
A huge thank you to Nanmom and Poppa for staying with the kids Friday night, and to Miss Mila and the kiddos for staying with them on Saturday. Love you guys!

Looks amazing! I have been really wanting a weekend getaway...maybe I need to show this to Taylor and it will inspire him to take me!
